The Braves farm system just got a massive shakeup, and Eric Hartman is now the clear leader. This isn’t a slow climb or a quiet rise. The 20-year-old outfielder vaulted from the 20th spot to the number one ranking on the updated list released Thursday night. He earned this title by hitting 24 home runs and stealing 38 bases for High-A Rome this year. That kind of power-speed combo is rare and exactly what the organization needs right now.
Hartman’s Rapid Climb
Hartman’s jump is the biggest story in the entire update. He posted an .889 OPS over 94 games at the High-A level. This performance is a huge leap from his .718 OPS at Single-A Augusta in 2025. The numbers show he can handle better pitching and still get on base. According to MLB.com Braves, Hartman is now the fourth-best prospect in all of baseball. That is a serious claim for a player who was just a 20th-round pick in 2024. He has proven he belongs at the top of the list.
Seven New Faces Join the Mix
The list didn’t just move existing players around. It added fresh talent from the 2026 MLB Draft. Seven players selected last month now sit inside the top 30. A.J. Gracia leads the new group at number four, while Jensen Hirschkorn lands at number six. These additions give the Braves depth in both hitting and pitching. Gracia already has a 55 hit tool and a 50 power tool. Hirschkorn brings a 65 fastball rating. The front office is loading up on young arms and bats to keep the pipeline full.
Who Slipped and Who Stood Tall
Not everyone climbed the ladder. Some players fell hard after rough starts. Garrett Baumann dropped from 12th to 24th after posting a 5.40 ERA at Double-A. He struggled even more at Triple-A with a 10.48 ERA before getting sent back down. His walk rate and strikeout numbers have raised some red flags for scouts. Cam Caminiti and Tate Southisene hold onto spots two and three, respectively. Caminiti is the only other player in the top 60 of the entire league. The Braves now have three players in the top 60 prospects list.
